Meet The Team

Alex Sanders

Founder and CEO

As Founder and CEO of RM Companies, Alex leads all company activities throughout all markets. He is responsible for leading business development and corporate strategy as well as driving pipeline and overseeing the development of projects. 


In the real estate industry, Alex has been involved in the development and sale of luxury student, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate across 8 states. Major markets include urban neighborhoods located in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Indianapolis.


Alex graduated cum laude from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He went on to obtain his Masters Degree in Real Estate & Development from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Robinson is responsible for RM Companies' development and construction activities throughout all markets. He oversees a wide range of activities and manages day-to-day efforts in development, pre-construction, and design.

Prior to joining the team, Rob worked as a Development Manager where he led the successful transformation of assets throughout Illinois and Indiana. Prior to his tenure at RM Companies, Rob worked as an owner’s representative where he helped implement owner directives and manage the construction effort.

Rob is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Indiana.

Ian Miller

Vice President of Operations

As the Vice President of Operations, Ian oversees the organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. He is responsible for the efficiency of business and maintains control of RM Companies' diverse business operations. Ian is vital in securing the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Ian Miller has worked in the construction industry since 2003 with a focus on off-site and modular construction since 2012. He has overseen all aspects of the construction business and development projects - from sales and marketing, planning and design, operations, accounting, procurement, and client relations. As a project manager, facilitator and director of personnel, Ian managed the construction administration, QA/QC processes, information flow and communications of expectations and accountability between the Owner, Design, Fabrication and Site Construction teams.

Ian graduated from Penn State University with degrees in history and philosophy.
